The History of the Rosebrook Inn |
||||||
| Rosebrook Inn, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, was once the historic Church of the Brethren | ||||||
| Industrial School. The school opened on January 2, 1923 with an enrollmentof 98 students. In the | ||||||
| mid 1930's the United States Government purchased the property and used it as a resettlement camp | ||||||
| for some of the 600 families relocated when the Shenandoah National Park was created. The property | ||||||
| is now privately owned and the original schoolhouse has been remodeled into a unique bed and breakfast | ||||||
| with grounds that are landscaped with perennials and annuals in constant bloom from spring through fall. | ||||||
